Coaching and Motivational Interviewing
This service is an adjunct and depends on your goals. Coaching is different from therapy as it focuses more on skills development, problem-solving, performance and behavioral change. During Coaching, I am more hands-on and definitely more opinionated!
My unique approach to utilizing this tool is how I support it with Motivational Interviewing, an evidence-based technique for facilitating change. Using MI, I will help you move through the five stages of change: Precontemplation, Contemplation, Preparation, Action, and Maintenance & Relapse. My training and experience with MI equips me to help you apply the benefits of coaching to the intrapsychic mechanisms embedded in MI; with the intent of meeting that tangible goal you and I will set together.
